Windows 7 Browsers

Microsoft once again changed it’s mind about European version of Windows 7, called Windows 7E, as repprted by the HEXUS blog. As Dave Heiner the vice-president of Microsoft wrote in his blog there will be only one version produced for all countries of the world and countries that are members of the European Union are not excluded.

Valant.

This special version of Windows would have supplied the operating system without a browser: in that way Microsoft planned to satisfy the requirements of the Eurocomission. However, later the Comission agreed  with Microsoft to let it supply Windows 7 with several browsers and the user could to install any one of them which the user wants. That’s why  Europe will now be supplied with the same distribution of Windows as the rest of the world. It will work in the following way. During Windows 7 installation it will open an HTML page, where the user can choose one of  an array of browsesr: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Chrome or Opera, and after this the chosen browser will be installed into the system. Probably, this list of browsers will grow to include several other browsers. Additionally,  you could refuse to install the browser during system installation and come back to this page later.
