Most printers are made for one of two groups: the power user, typically working out of an office, or the home user, who requires ease and only the most basic of features. That’s as true now as it ever was. However, go back several years and you find a printer by Lexmark that struck an excellent balance between power and ease. And if you can find one, perhaps on an online auction or classified-ad site, it still makes a good buy. We’re talking about the Lexmark Optra T610 using Lexmark Optra t610 toner. With this model, Lexmark proved that a printer can be a powerful printer and yet retain all of the ease of use features that a novice would need.

The Lexmark Optra T610 had a distinctive boxy design which does more than make the printer look unique. It actually made it fit easily in cramped space, and mde it easy to carry from one place to another, as well. Just as easy was setting up the machine. The Lexmark Optra T610 took only about five minutes for the average user. And that included installing the software. Even the toner cartridge installed quickly and easily.

Got a lot to print, but don’t won’t to spend time reloading the printer? The Lexmark Optra T610′s paper tray holds a respectable 350 sheets. Need to print even more? How about up to 2,000 sheets? Add up to three extra paper trays and you’re there! How’s that for impressive? This is one machine that provides ease of use for the home office and productivity for those office workers who just want to get the job done, not spend time mastering high-tech accessories.

Let’s look again at printing speed. This printer typically prints 12 pages per minute, though it can potentially print as many as 15 pages a minute. And the printing is done with few delays. Of course, every printer is going to have the occasional paper jam. However, with this model, it is easy to extract the offending paper, due to the printer’s simple front-opening design.

With printing that quick, what type of quality should you expect? The T610 produces a crisp 1200 by 1200 dpi print resolution and also prints well on a variety of paper, including card stock, transparencies and envelopes.

The Lexmark Optra T610 was compatible with Macintosh, UniX, oS/2, and Windows 95/98 and Windows NT operating systems, among others. As we move away from these systems and Windows 7 takes over, unfortunately, use for the Lexmark Optra T610 will dwindle. But it will still remain worthwhile and relevant for users with older operating systems.

How often do you change toner cartridges in your printer? The T610 has the awesome ability to yield a 10,000 page output. And the duty cycle of the Lexmark Optra t610 toner is about 65,000 pages a month. That’s a lot of power from a print cartridge! The Lexmark Optra T610′s standard toner cartridge that’s where the power is in this machine!
